Kingdom of Heaven is a historical epic about a French blacksmith named Balian who travels to the Holy Land during the Crusades after his father, a knight, reveals his true identity. He then enters the court of the leprous King Baldwin IV who wishes to wage war against the Muslims for his own political and personal gain.
