As education leaders, you are no strangers to the concept of leading by example. It's not just about talking the talk but walking the walk. Being exemplary role models for your staff and students through kindness, respect, flexibility, understanding, and inclusivity is part of your daily journey. However, I'd like to introduce a another perspective on leading by example.

As we are about to go ‘OOO’, close up the classrooms and sit in queues once more. Therefore, I thought it was high time to reflect on where we are in education (politics aside) and focus on what we can do over this summer - again another one unlike any other.

We often forget that we only see a sliver of each other’s stories. If life was a book, as it’s so often likened to, we do not even really get to see a chapter.
