Bio:
Natalie is a Specialist in Gifted Education and Care with a particular interest in recognising, nurturing, and advocating for high learning potential, creativity, and talent that may be overlooked, masked, or misunderstood.
Many of the children and young people she supports are perhaps most visible for their difficulties, differences, or challenges, while their strengths, potential, and creativity remain unrecognised. Much of her work focuses on high learning potential, twice-exceptionality, neurodiversity, and the social and emotional development of children and young people whose strengths and needs do not fit neatly within traditional educational categories. Their abilities may be hidden behind additional needs, differences, life circumstances, or educational experiences.
Natalie work alongside families, schools, and professionals to recognise strengths, understand complexity, and create the conditions in which children and young people can flourish. Her work sits at the intersection of education, family life, inclusion, and policy. It is relational, strengths-focused, and informed by research, professional practice, and lived experience. Natalie is particularly interested in belonging, wellbeing, family-school partnerships, and creating environments where children's strengths, potential, creativity, and talents are recognised, valued, and nurtured, and where barriers to flourishing can be understood and addressed.

Natalie Jensen brings specialist expertise in gifted education, twice-exceptionality, neurodiversity, and strengths-based inclusion to the GEC Circle. Her work focuses on recognising and nurturing high learning potential, creativity, and talent in children and young people whose strengths may be overlooked, masked, or misunderstood. Working across education, family life, and policy, Natalie helps schools and families better understand the complex intersection of ability, need, wellbeing, and belonging. She is particularly passionate about ensuring that children are not defined solely by their challenges, but are supported to flourish through environments that recognise their strengths, potential, and individuality. Through her research-informed and relational approach, Natalie contributes valuable insight into family-school partnerships, neurodiversity, student voice, and creating more inclusive pathways for children and young people to thrive.
