Explore the GEC Platform

Most local authorities and trusts already have data across their school.

What many leaders don’t yet have is a clear way to understand lived experience at scale, how school actually feels across settings, where engagement differs, and what to do next.

Most leaders are making decisions with the information available to them, but not always with a full and reliable picture of experience across their schools or organisation.

The GEC Platform helps local authorities, trusts and international independent schools measure belonging, inclusion, pupil engagement and staff wellbeing — providing the missing intelligence layer for inclusion alongside attendance, behaviour and attainment data.

We help leaders understand not just what is happening across their organisation, but why patterns may be emerging.

We allow leaders to see patterns across schools, identify where support is needed most, and act with clarity at a system level.

We also help trusts and local authorities prepare for emerging expectations across the new Ofsted inclusion criteria, the Department for Education’s national Pupil Engagement Survey, SEND reform and the direction set out in the Schools White Paper around inclusion strategy and accountability.

Our approach is informed by doctoral research and insight from over 34,500 staff and student voices across participating schools, trusts and local authorities.

Who is this for?

Local authorities responsible for system-wide inclusion who need lived-experience insight alongside attendance, behaviour and attainment data, and a clearer view of where to focus support across schools.

Trust leaders responsible for multiple schools who need to see patterns across settings, target support effectively, and strengthen culture consistently at scale.

International independent schools and groups who want a consistent, system-wide framework for understanding belonging and inclusion across diverse communities

Why this matters

Traditional data shows you what is happening in a school — attendance, behaviour, attainment and headline patterns.

But, what it doesn’t always show is how experience differs across your community - how safe people feel to participate fully, or where belonging may be strengthening or slipping.

We describe this deeper understanding of lived experience as Kaleidoscopic Data — intelligent inclusion insight that helps leaders see patterns across groups, identities and roles that are often invisible in traditional performance and operational datasets.

This is where the GEC Platform comes in.

We work alongside the data you already have, helping leaders understand lived experience across their organisation, identify where support is most needed, and respond with greater confidence and clarity.

What makes this different

This isn’t just a survey and it’s not just a reporting tool. The GEC Platform is a universal leadership infrastructure for understanding and strengthening belonging and inclusion across trusts, local authorities and school systems.

We combine lived-experience insight with practical implementation support, including structured guidance and training for staff across your organisation.

We help you:

  • capture honest staff and student voice across schools

  • see what’s really happening beneath the surface

  • turn insight into clear, practical action

  • build shared understanding and confidence across staff teams and settings

So you’re not left with data you don’t have time to use.

How The GEC Platform works

The GEC Platform is designed as a clear leadership flow that helps trusts and local authorities move from understanding lived experience to taking structured action.

Insight dashboards make strengths, pressure points and emerging patterns visible across your organisation and across schools

First, the leadership Inclusion Audit provides a quick organisational snapshot of inclusion, belonging and lived experience across your setting or across multiple schools within your organisation

Next, our Inclusion Indexes capture anonymous staff and student voices in a way that feels safe, clear and meaningful, alongside coaching recommendations linked directly to the results.

Then these research-informed strategies feed directly into a structured Action Plan, supported by practical implementation guidance through the Champion Hub, helping you move confidently from insight into action.

We support you to identify Inclusion Champions who take ownership of this work across your organisation. They help ensure inclusion remains visible, coordinated and sustained over time.

We call our best practice partner schools Listening Hubs — strengthening the sector’s understanding of belonging, engagement and inclusion through shared lived-experience insight across schools, trusts and systems.

Introduction to the GEC Platform

This short overview gives you a feel for how the GEC Platform fits together. It brings the Inclusion Audit, staff and student voice, insight dashboards and the Champion Hub into one clear flow, so you can see how schools and systems move from understanding lived experience to taking action.

Leadership Inclusion Audit, Staff and Student Surveys

This is where the work begins. The Inclusion Audit gives leaders a quick organisational snapshot, while the Inclusion Index captures anonymous staff and student voice. Together, they help you hear from across your community in a way that feels safe, clear and genuinely reflective of lived experience.

From insight to action

This is where the platform goes further than most. The Champion Hub and Action Plan help you turn insight into structured, practical action. You can prioritise what matters most, access relevant support, and keep track of progress over time, so the work stays focused and consistent across your organisation.

What the data shows you

Once responses are in, the platform turns them into clear, usable insight. This video shows how you can explore themes, identify strengths and pressure points, and understand where experiences differ across groups and across schools. It is designed to help you move from instinct to evidence.

90 Day Inclusion Roadmap

This video walks through the 90 day Inclusion Roadmap. It shows how schools, trusts and local authorities move from initial setup through to insight and into action, with a clear structure that keeps the work focused and manageable from the start.

The support around the platform

This video introduces the wider Global Equality Collective. It shows how the platform sits within a broader network of research, expertise and shared learning, giving schools, trusts and local authorities access to deeper support as their work develops over time.

What you’re actually getting

Here’s how the GEC Platform works in practice, from first insight to ongoing change

The reality - most schools rely on instinct to understand inclusion

Our solution - Inclusion Audit

The Inclusion Audit gives leaders a quick contextual, organisational snapshot of inclusion, belonging and lived experience across your organisation or across multiple schools.

It helps LAs and Trusts move beyond instinct and get a clearer view of what is in place, what is in progress, and where there may be gaps.

The reality - Some staff and students won’t say what they’re experiencing openly

Our solution - Inclusion Index

The Inclusion Index captures both anonymous staff and student voices and provides coaching recommendations linked directly to the results, helping leaders understand where to prioritise action.

This helps you really understand how safe, included and valued people feel, whether inclusion messages are being heard and trusted, and where experiences differ across the community.

The reality - Data is only useful if it’s easy to interpret

Our solution - Insight and Dashboards

The GEC Platform turns voice and audit data into clear, accessible insight.

Leaders can see strengths, pressure points, areas of concern and patterns across groups, with both qualitative and quantitative data working together.

The reality - Knowing what to do next is often the hardest part

Our solution - Champion Hub

The Champion Hub supports our Inclusion Champions to implement their Action Plan with practical guidance, SEND-informed training, resources and structured next steps so leaders are not left working out how to respond on their own.

It brings together practical recommendations, resources, SEND training and structured next steps, so leaders are not left working out how to respond on their own.

The reality - Without ownership, this work can lose momentum

Our solution - Inclusion Champion

Inclusion Champions create ownership for the work. These are the leaders that champion data for inclusion and help schools, trusts and local authorities keep momentum, coordinate action and make sure inclusion is visible, shared and sustained over time.

The reality - Leaders shouldn’t have to figure this out in isolation

Our solution - Listening Hubs

Listening Hubs are the wider network around the platform.

This shared learning is informed by insight from over 34,500 staff and student voices across participating settings.

They connect international schools, trusts and local authorities into peer learning, shared conversation and a collective approach to understanding and building belonging.

What happens in the first 90 days?

The GEC Platform is designed to be practical from the start

Within the first 90 days, most LAs, trusts and schools will:

  • complete the Inclusion Audit

  • gather staff and student voice

  • review clear baseline insight

  • identify priority areas

  • begin structured action through a shared Action Plan linked to their results

So you’re not left waiting to see impact.

For trusts and local authorities

The GEC Platform is designed for trusts and local authorities.

It makes it possible to compare longitudinal patterns across settings, identify shared strengths and pressure points, target support where it will have the greatest impact, and build a clearer system-level picture of inclusion and belonging.

Leaders can see trends across their organisation while maintaining anonymity at individual school level. This gives leaders a clear, system-level picture of inclusion and belonging across their organisation.

Platform Pricing

Platform access for international independent schools is £2,000 per setting + £2 per student.

Trust and local authority pricing available.

Through our Founder’s Initiative, state schools can currently access 50% support funding, making it easier for trusts and local authorities to get started at scale.

Leaders can start with a single setting or scale across groups over time. No complex setup. No long lead time. Start with a single school or scale across your group

Ready to get a clearer picture of your school or organisation?

If you want a clearer way to understand lived experience across your organisation, measure belonging at scale, and turn insight into action, the GEC Platform gives you a straightforward place to start.
