Needle (Dyslexia-Friendly)

Charlene is an avid knitter. It’s the only thing that brings her joy and the only thing she feels confident at. So, when her foster mum’s son deliberately destroys her latest creation, Charlene is livid and in a moment of anger, stabs him in the hand with her needle. Suddenly, Charlene is being sucked into the criminal justice system for assault. Charlene is repeatedly told to just say sorry, that things will be easier for her if she does. But Charlene's not sorry and she’s never apologised to anyone in her life. Can she bring herself to say it when her freedom’s at stake even it goes against what she believes?

Particularly suitable for children aged 13+ with a reading age of 8.
