The second is the tech.
The GEC Platform is a cloud based analytical tool for schools and educational organisations allowing them to tackle diversity and inclusion before it’s too late. It is the "world's first diversity and inclusion" platform for education and is being used in over 25 countries globally, has surveyed over 8,000 educators, 5,000 students and impacted on 200,000 students as a result.
The founder - Nic Ponsford
Previously an award-winning Advanced Skills Teacher and Harvard author of ‘TechnoTeachers’ (2014), Nic Ponsford is a recognised EdTech thought leader and frequent keynote speaker. Headhunted by the DfE for central roles during the pandemic, she has been named as one of the “top 50 European Women in Technology” and recently received the Rising Stars Award for Education and Academia.
Based on her 20 years experience in education as a teacher, school leader, trainer and coach, Nic wanted to find an accessible means to make ordinary classrooms extraordinarily inclusive. Co-creating the solution with a global collective of students, teachers and educators, Founder Nic Ponsford launched the Global Equality Collective (GEC) as the D&I solution for education in December 2022.
Nic believes technology is the equaliser for our time - and the GEC is how she does it!
